It's just me. I'm Gav, and I build and run Million Miles on my own. If you'd like to know why I made it, read the letter on the home page.

About me

By day I'm an engineering director, and I've worked in software engineering and infrastructure for over 20 years. I'm also an indie developer, building apps as a hobby. They're not meant to make money. I enjoy my day job, and this is one of the things I do for fun.

Just because the app's free doesn't mean I care any less about getting it right. I use the same skills and techniques I would at work to make the best app I can for you, and it's a good way to practise them on different kinds of problems.

I build apps I'd like to use myself. I'm not a writer or an artist, but making apps is something I can do, and a way to give something back. I especially enjoy building positive ones that help people get outside, feel good, or be part of a community.

One of my aims is to make the app good enough that people wonder where the catch is. There isn't one.
